Resolve 2.0
We are excited to announce Resolve 2.0! Since the 2022 launch of Resolve on the Quest store, we’ve been working hard to make the best immersive review tool for BIM. And today is a big step in pushing the limits of what is possible.
We are excited to announce Resolve 2.0! Since the 2022 launch of Resolve on the Quest store, we’ve been working hard to make the best immersive review tool for BIM. And today is a big step in pushing the limits of what is possible.
The latest version of Resolve is available on the Quest store or available for download on PC via the Resolve web dashboard.
Texture support
Powered by our Wellington Engine, Resolve can now render huge files wirelessly on Quest with and without textures.
Whether your models contain textured reality capture data or textured equipment models Resolve now displays the additional texture.
Thanks to Geopipe and Cintoo for the test models.
Improved integrations with ACC and Procore
Seamlessly integrating with your project tools is important to us.
We’ve improved compatibility with models hosted on ACC: from better issue syncing to support for EMEA hubs and more. And we’ve made security upgrades recommended by Autodesk to ensure your users and data are secure.
We’ve also worked with Procore’s team to make sure our BCF export is compatible with their recently announced BCF import for coordination issues. Any annotations you make in Resolve can be imported into Procore’s coordination issues module via BCF.
Major Quest enhancements
As the world of spatial computing evolves we want to make sure we are giving you the best immersive experience possible.
If you prefer to use your Quest with the passthrough home, Resolve will now launch with passthrough on. This way you can still see your surroundings after launching the app.
💡 Tip: We’ve found that for first time users passthrough eases the transition into fully immersive VR.
Here are two other important Quest updates:
- Resolve now uses the controllers' haptic feedback. When you touch a piece of equipment your controller will rumble.
- Performance improvements for Quest 2 users so the app runs smoothly on older hardware.

Academic research on the efficacy of VR for construction with Resolve
New research shows that 93% of building operability issues identified in VR aren’t caught with traditional construction coordination methods. The study was conducted by researchers at Stanford’s Center for Integrated Facility Engineering.
A follow up paper was published last month to break down the cost savings of using VR on preconstruction MEP coordination.
In both papers, the project being studied used Resolve on Quest to perform VR reviews of a $600M facility.
Digital twin masterclass with Meta for Work
The Meta for Work team invited Resolve to their Menlo Park headquarters to have an enlightening discussion on the use of VR for digital twins in design and construction. We were honored to be chosen as one of four partners to lead a discussion and share insights with VR users around the world.
